Terms and Conditions for Sorty
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Sorty ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
2. License to Use
Dreamstill Technologies grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sorty for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
3. User Account
You may be required to create an account to use certain features of Sorty. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Privacy and Data Collection
Sorty collects and uses personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the app, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
4.1 Camera Access
Sorty requires access to your device's camera. By using this feature, you grant Dreamstill Technologies permission to access and use your camera for the following purposes:
Scanning and identifying clothing items
Capturing images for inventory management
Assisting in sustainable fashion practices
You can revoke camera access at any time through your device settings. Please note that revoking access may limit certain app functionalities.
4.2 Location Data
Sorty collects and uses your location data to provide location-based services related to sustainable fashion practices. You can disable location services through your device settings, but this may affect the app's functionality.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
Use Sorty for any unlawful purpose
Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Impersonate others or use the app fraudulently
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Sorty or its systems
Reverse engineer or modify the app
6. Intellectual Property
All content and materials available in Sorty, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of Dreamstill Technologies or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
7. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to Sorty. However, by submitting content, you grant Dreamstill Technologies a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with the app and our sustainable fashion initiatives. The dada from this app will be used to build a robust dataset to train the algorithm further.
8. Termination
Dreamstill Technologies reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to Sorty at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Sorty is provided "as is" without any warranties. Dreamstill Technologies is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11. Changes to Terms
Dreamstill Technologies reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on Sorty.
